This book is large and easy on the eyes. Having words cross referenced is a big help in understanding the meaning as well as context. I highly recommend to anyone who seeks to understand the Bible.

Great. Large readable print. Good price. Well made.I have ordered two more as gifts for special people in my life.

Everything was good except for the more commonly used words were not referenced. Such as the word "one". This particular word is extremely important when trying to understand the essence of who God is. So, in that it is a fail. Otherwise a good reference book.

Must have for bible study. The larger print makes this very useful fun and educational. Best for use with KJV but can be used with other translations to some extent as well.

I was a little worried when I bought this manga. Amazon only showed a short preview, and I couldn't find this book online. I like reading yaoi manga that have, at least, a few sex scenes. So, I took a chance, and I bought this manga. I really like this book. There are hints that they both still have deep feelings for each other. There are some sex scenes, but they don't show a lot. However, their expressions are so cute. I read this two times, and I can't put it down. It is very cute, and very suspenseful. Especially at the ending- I recommend buying volume 2. Overall, it's a great yaoi manga.

I have been a long time fan of Isaku Natusume and I was very glad suBLime licensed this title. I have read BL titles since I was a college student and have books from every B.L. publisher in the U.S. (most of them have since gone out of business leaving more than one series incomplete). Because of that, I can seriously say that suBLime (Viz) has put out some of the best looking books in the market. All of the books have had a first page color insert and the text contains minimal to no grammatical errors. Not only that, but the innuendo/jokes don't feel out of place when reading the graphic novel, wonderful translation. The product is worth the money and I hope it earns a place in your bookshelf.The story itself is not very original to the BL world, but the way Natsume narrates and illustrates it is heart warming and inspired. The characters are true to their feelings and straight forward, making this a lighthearted read. Nakano and Tsuda, the main characters, surprisingly meet each other at work after ten years. This was not a pleasant meeting for Nakano since he feels Tsuda betrayed their friendship in the past and thus starts their story. One of my favorite things about this book is that the story is told from both characters point of view and gives you, the reader, insight about their actions and emotions.The second volume is listed for 2014 (so worth the wait), so this is only the beginning, The book does end in a cliffhanger (love rival?!) but I' expect we will see a resolution to this story by the second book. I'm sure that any Natsume fan will buy this title without thinking, but if you are new to her, please give her a chance. You will fall in love with her stories. Her characters have some of the funniest facial expressions out there and she conveys a lot of emotion through them.I can only hope suBLime keeps putting out more wonderful titles like this. And more Isaku Natsume, please!

This was the first manga by Isaku Natsume I've ever read, and I was NOT disappointed. I absolutely adored both our characters, and loved seeing their relationship change. There is sex, so if you're looking for that you won't be disappointed. The characters' expressions are fantastic, and I love the way the simple art style still manages to convey so many different emotions. I fell in love with every single character by the end of the series, even the side ones.

I am fairly certain that I have read other works by this author, and enjoyed them - unfortunately the English translation on this fell short pretty horribly, and I found the plot to be fairly poor throughout. I would not consider this to be a good investment for yaoi lovers and collectors unless you're already committed to collecting everything by this author.

I'm a big fan of Isaku Natsume. I think this mangaka creates some of the best characters. Everyone, even the minor characters are packed full of personality. And with such personalities, the character dynamics are so much fun. I highly recommend this manga and other works by Isaku Natsume.

. . . Not what I've come to expect from Natsume-Sensei. Let's hope the next volume's story line is better developed.

Great glass plate negative photos from 1904 to 1940. Mostly star players with some lesser known. Also mostly portraits, however it includes Conlon's most famous action shot of Ty Cobb sliding into third base. Except for a couple each are on a 10" x 10" page with a paragraph or two explaining events which put him in historical context.

This is a fantastic book for anyone historically inclined. It focuses on an era- in the context of baseball. The descriptions with each amazing photo show how America viewed baseball as a microcosm of the country. A great discussion book. Highly recommended. An added bonus is the classic, unretouched photo of Ty Cobb sliding into third, knocking the third baseman off his feet.

Conlon was a classic photographer and his images are timeless and puts us back in the days when baseball was innocent in our eyes. Even the cover evokes the complicated yet simplicity of the American past-time.

This is a beautiful book, full of beautiful baseball photography by Charles N. Conlon.

I really enjoyed the old photograghs contained in this book. 95% of them were ones I had never seen before. I would recommend this collection of photographs to anyone interested in baseball in the first half of the 1900's or baseball in general.Delivery was early and everything as promised.

I hate the process of shopping, the crowds, the decisions - everything. I hate the galaxy of variety that just crushes your soul every time.I got this book at the office yesterday and did little to no work cause I couldn't put it down. Once I got home and was able to devour it in one sitting, I feel like I can't wait to drive my butt to Whole Foods and start a new chapter - one where food is enjoyable again.It's the process of going through the pages that is captivating. If you're into wellness and healthy eating there may be a lot of things that you're already aware of, but there will be things that will blow your mind over and over. Habits that you thought were in favor of your health and wellbeing, but have actually been pushing you closer and closer to ignorance. It's also not a book that you read once and put down just like that. Mine is already folded up in the most important spots that I know I will want to reference again. It comes in very handy when, for example, you're trying to figure out whether to shell out those extra bucks for the organic produce or stick with the conventional option. You don't always have to go organic but there are certain foods with which you must go the organic way and this book makes it very clear which ones they are. Overall, highly recommended!

I personally really like this book as a reference guide. A lot of the information provided may be like common knowledge, which is ok. There is a lot of breakdown on produce, grains, etc. I really, really like that. She goes on to provide even the type of cancers diets rich in certain foods can help prevent. There are actually no pictures if Marie in the book which is A+ because I hate those books that are images of the writer every other page. It annoys me and takes away from something that is suppose to be educational. Also, from what I've seen, there are very few recipes, which are actually how-tos. I think, overall, this is a great book.

Wow!!! I thought I knew a lot about healthy food and healthy eating, and then I read Maria's book! I am actually in the process of becoming a Health and Wellness Coach, and everyone of my clients will be given a copy of this book. It is very well thought out and researched. If you want to change your bad eating habits and have a clean diet, this is a must read! I have already purchased 3 copies! Guess what family and friends are getting for birthday and/or Christmas gifts!!! Pay very close attention to all the tips in the yellow boxes.

I don't even want to begin to think about the hours I have wasted in the grocery store not to mention the pounds I've added to my body before I read this book! I bought this when it first came out and also took an online class offered by Maria. One of the most interesting was about beverages - all the rage about coconut waters and almond milk becomes much clearer and I'm no longer spending lots of money on items that aren't delivering to the degree that I thought.Buy the book and then consider adding recipes of Maria's so it really all comes together!

I had the opportunity to read an advance digital copy and liked it so much I purchased my own physical copy of the book. The information is very helpful, particularly the parts about purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables. I've used these "Tuttle" flash card for Chinese and personally I find them very helpful for review, but not for learning. Even though English pronunciation is included on the cards, in order to get the full use out of these cards you should already be able to read Hiragana. Fortunately there is a Hiragana set of cards in this line that will probably pop up in recommended products.Like with the Chinese cards I like the large font, the size of the card itself, and the carrying ring it comes with. It makes transporting them easy and the font makes them very readable. These are also include a little teaching aid to remember how the character goes, such as showing that Ichi, 一　looks like ONE finger. I also think it is a nice touch that the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Text) level is printed on these cards, however keep in mind that the JLPT starts with 5 at its lowest and 1 at the highest.One thing I don't like about these is that unlike the Chinese cards, the Japanese series doesn't provide sample sentences, so they do not function as any sort of grammar instruction or reinforcement. Instead these just provide extra vocab words, including both on-yomi and kun-yomi readings, which is vitally important when learning the multiple ways a character can be pronounced and used. But you will have to use these cards in conjunction with another learning method or tool to really understand how to properly use this vocabulary.

I would not recommend this for complete beginners to the Japanese language. Because of the way the cards are laid out, I think it would be better suited for people who have some knowledge of how to read Hiragana and how to properly pronounce Japanese syllables.Each flash card focuses on one Kanji character, but on most of the cards, the translation for that lone Kanji character is not given. Instead, 6 words that include the featured Kanji are presented on each card, along with Hiragana, Roumaji, and English translations for each word. You have to use context in order to figure out what the main Kanji character means, or go look it up online somewhere. Because of this, I think most beginners would be confused by these flash cards. I've been studying Japanese grammar and vocabulary for a couple of months and these cards work really well for me by building upon that foundation.The CD that comes with this kit is also not great for beginners. It contains 200 MP3 files - one for each of the 200 flash cards in the kit. In each MP3 file, a native Japanese speaker says the card number, followed by the Japanese pronunciation of each word on that card. No English translations are read. These audio files seem to be provided so you can learn how to properly pronounce the words. I do find that listening to the Japanese audio helps me memorize the vocabulary.The audio CD does not auto-play in my PC's CD-ROM drive. I have to open a media playing program and play the tracks from there. I don't know if this is just on my computer or if it's this way on all of them. Also, the CD does not work in traditional CD players. If you want to play this in a CD player, you'll have to burn the files to blank CD and format it to play in CD players. You could probably also copy the MP3 files to an mp3 player and listen to them that way, but I haven't tried it.If you're serious about memorizing a lot of useful Japanese words, this kit is great for that purpose, but be aware that you might need other tools as well, if you are a beginner.

This is a very simple but also effective method in the sense that it helps you break down a seemingly daunting task at first into very straightforward daily objectives (if you choose like I do to practice one new character per day). The cards themselves are fairly basic but can take a little bit of abuse as they are (thinly) laminated. Each character's drawing is broken down stroke by stroke so you can practice the proper way.I was looking forward to using the CD along with the writing practice, to make sure I remember the words based on their pronunciation in Japanese and not their English translation, but the CD enclosed didn't read in any of the players I have at my disposal (computer, car, stereo, I have a few). I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement, but same thing happened with the latter. I then contacted the manufacturer with the phone number provided with the instructions, and they proposed to mail me a new CD after testing it themselves to make sure it played properly. I received the CD a week later, and it does work but as a data file I downloaded on my iPod (not as a CD you can play on your car or home stereo).I was expecting the audio pronunciation to be helpful, and was disappointed that the characters are not read by themselves - only as a component to other words. This adds a difficulty to the learning process: you now have to identify the character as it is pronounced as part of several different words. Perhaps a little much to ask considering this is a beginner's method.

These cards are great as a reminder of Kanji I learned in school. However, I was hoping to be able to mix them all up and have the order random so I could quiz myself. The 200 cards are organized as 4 stacks of 50 cards each, but they were not made with the hole in the same place. When you mix them together, they don't sit nicely, and the edges are more prone to damage. It also lets me cheat a little, because I can tell from where the card is falling on the binder ring whether the card is from number 0-50, or if it's from 100-150. This is a fairly minor complaint, but it does interfere with me using the cards how I wanted to.

I've used a lot of material to study my Japanese but for Kanji, these are probably the best I've ever used. They're easy to carry around, they have some cute explanations on some cards to help you remember and they even have the stroke order. I wish I had bought these months ago.

I love Matthew Ritchie. The prints are great in the book too, but the binding of the book is POOR. It's split on my first look. I expect my art books to be durable and this is horrible.
