This is a damn fine series. It's set before The Force Awakens, but it does fill in some details about the new Star Wars trilogy. For example, you learn more about Lor San Tekka (who dies by Kylo Ren's saber at the start of TFA). And, you get to know more about each of the pilots in Black Squadron*--the X-Wing squadron in TFA that took out Starkiller base.I wasn't that crazy about Poe when I first saw TFA. It took me a while to warm up to him. This book helps a lot because the writers emulate Oscar Isaac's performance of the character perfectly. You can actually hear the actor speaking the character's lines as you read the book.And, we continue with a new baddie character that I think is just awesome: Terex. He was a stormtrooper during the Galactic Empire era. After the Empire's fall, he shed his white armor and went on the fringe, becoming a crime lord. When he heard about the rise of the First Order, it was like a wounded soul had been healed. His original passions as a stormtrooper were re-ignited, and his hope that the Empire's defeat could be reversed took him over, head to foot. He joined the First Order Security Bureau, eventually finding Poe Dameron and his Black Squadron in his sights.The guy uses the Carrion Spike** for his personal vessel!Highly recommended.*Though it's not necessary to read, there is more information about Poe's parents and one of the Black Squadron pilots in the Star Wars: Shattered Empire collection.**The Carrion Spike was Governor Tarkin's personal vessel, first mentioned in James Luceno's novel, STAR WARS - TARKIN.
This second volume of the ongoing Poe Dameron series continues the story from the first volume involving Terex. It fleshes out Terex more as a character, showing his origins at the Battle of Jakku. This is a good completion to the Terex story, unless he comes back in volume three.The droids absolutely shined in this comic. BB-8 is always awesome, using his skills in creative ways. C-3PO utilized his own talents in this one. We even got to see a Mister Bones reference! Hurray for Snap Wexley!This was a fun volume. I enjoyed it more than the first volume. I give this graphic novel a 4/5. I will continue to read this ongoing series just for Poe's charm and BB-8's badassness.--PAUL
This is the second multi part edition of the Poe Dameron series. Poe goes looking for information stored in a droid that is crucial to the resistance. We also learn of the backstory of his nemesis Terex. His arrogance catches up to him in this edition. Story wise, I enjoyed this edition, much better than the first. Filled with action packed twists and turns, it's a huge improvement over the first edition. I couldn't put this one down. Artwork is fantastic. Would love to see a novel for Poe.
I would say this is about a 7.5/10. Not Amazing but pretty good. Still a lot of filler, but it gives a good back story to Terex who is now a pretty good villain. The rest of the story was quite interesting as well. Here is to hoping it keeps improving
Not the best new Marvel Star Wars comic but it is an interesting read. Not too exciting.

Really enjoyed all 3 volumes of Poe Dameron. Interesting stories, beautiful art and fills in some gaps. Well done!
Good read. Really adds to the characters development and back story.
