Review
This is a book that will help law students get law school, not just law school exams. It really captures what it means to think like a lawyer. --Amy Coney Barrett, Professor, Notre Dame Law SchoolI would definitely recommend this book. It gives great advice to students who have no idea what to expect when they take their first law school exams. --Cynthia L. Fountaine, Dean and Professor of Law, Southern Illinois University School of LawNo book is a guarantor of better results, but this one would certainly help the majority of students to add points to their exam results, and some students could literally turn their performances around by following the advice of this book. --Michael D. Murray, Associate Professor, Valparaiso University School of Law

If you read anything before you start law school, ONLY read this. There IS such a thing as too much advice, and this book has just the right amount. I didn't really like the style of writing, but it's an easy read although you won't really "get" everything it's talking about until you finish your first semester.Read it before you start school and then after your first semester, when you know what's going on.
I'm starting law school in a few weeks and figured I should know at least SOMETHING going in, so ordered this book. I had expected a dry recitation of relatively unhelpful stuff. Instead, I got so absorbed in what turned out to be new, interesting material that I read it cover to cover in one sitting (which, incidentally, is not the way to do it, according to the authors). Anyways, I cannot attest with any certainty to how helpful it actually will turn out to be (I haven't even started law school yet, let alone sat for a law school exam), but it did make me feel very prepared heading in. I strongly recommend this book for any student starting law school.
It helped some. Probably would not buy again.
Didn't necessarily help me my 1L year. Not a bad book, but I think nothing substitutes for taking actual practice exams from professors.
Great book, very informative, very easy to read. I was able to whip through it with plenty of time to take detailed notes.
Excellent book, recommend for all law students, and those about to begin their career in law school. This book was recommended to me, and I'm glad it was.
This book has helped me become a much better exam writer.
